BUILDERS March

The Web Belongs to Everyone

On April 30, 1993, a British scientist working at a Swiss lab did something that no corporation, no government, and no military would have done. Tim Berners-Lee gave away the World Wide Web. No patent. No license fee. Free for every human being on Earth.

But it was American builders who turned that open protocol into the greatest engine of commerce and expression in history. Within a decade, garages in Palo Alto and dorm rooms in Cambridge birthed companies that connected billions. The web did not just move information — it demolished the gatekeepers. Suddenly a small business in a small town could reach customers on the other side of the planet.

That is what the web gave {BUSINESS_NAME} in {CITY} — a storefront with no walls, a voice with no ceiling. Every website, every online review, every social post is proof that when builders get an open platform, they build things nobody predicted.

America did not invent the web. America showed the world what to do with it. Two hundred fifty years of that instinct — hand us a tool and watch what happens.
